APC Primaries: PDP Goes Hard On Tambuwal, El-Rufai

Following the recently conducted primaries by the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2015 general elections, the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has described the APC as a “waste basket”.

According to the PDP, majority of the candidates who emerged winners in the APC primaries were expired substances dumped by them.

The PDP also took a swipe at the embattled Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal who defected from the PDP to the APC and recently won the party’s tickets for the governorship elections in Sokoto; and a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai who won the party’s governorship ticket for Kaduna States.

The party described both men as politicians who emerged from PDP dump site, adding that over one third of the APC candidates for National and State Assembly came from the same PDP dump site.
The PDP wrote on its Facebook page:

Speaking through his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Imam Imam, Tambuwal said: “The training we got at home won’t allow us to insult others.”

He explained that only those who lack basic home training and manners would take to public domain to engage in heated exchange of “insults”.

The Speaker further advised the PDP to learn some lessons from the way the APC and its members nationwide had so far conducted themselves during the party’s primaries, while noting that the difference between the APC and the PDP was clear.

Meanwhile, the PDP conducted its primary elections nationwide to elect governorship candidates that would fly the party’s flag in the February 2015 elections. Nyesom Wike emerged winner in Rivers State while Nuhu Ribadu won in Adamawa State.
