In the entourage of Mrs. Buhari was Lagos state deputy governor, Mrs. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire , who recently dropped out of the race for the Lagos west senatorial primaries within the party.
It is not clear what the two personalities discussed at their meeting. Perhaps, Mrs. Buhari came to thank Tinubu for his support for her husband’s ambition.
Tinubu is a well-known ally of the former military ruler and he was, according to him, chosen by the Kastsina-born retired general to be his running mate at next year’s presidential contest, before he declined the offer and nominated Professor Yemi Osibanjo.
Buhari’s visit to Tinubu will come as a surprise to many political watchers as she is known to maintain a low profile and remain in the background.
Recently, Ex Kwara State governor, Senator Bukola Saraki hailed Tinubu over his decision to step down as Muhammadu Buhari’s running mate.
