The emergency National Council of State meeting convened by President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday has come and gone but the outcome of the decisions of the meeting are still under public scrutiny.
The meeting which had almost all the State governors in attendance and all former living presidents of
Nigeria except former president Olusegun Obasanjo, witnessed the
unveiling of three National security documents for the different security problems facing the country, especially the activities of militant group, Boko Haram.
The Council of State meeting comprises of the president and state
governors, former presidents, service chiefs and the Chief Justice of
Nigeria.

Meanwhile, a pressure group working for the re-election of President
Goodluck Jonathan in the forthcoming February 14 poll, the National
Unity Group (NUG), has disclosed that
nine presidential candidates will step down for the president.
