Ekiti State Speaker Has Been Impeached

Sahara Reporters is reporting that Ekiti state says speaker of the House of Assembly Hon Omirin Adewale has been impeached

The impeachment plot was allegedly  carried out by the 7 PDP members of the house of assembly who recently defected to the PDP from APC with the full backing of heavily armed mobile policemen.

The  7 PDP members defected to the party after the swearing-in ceremony of Governor Ayodele Fayose leaving APC with 19 members.

The seven persons members were reportedly ushered into the state assembly complex forcefully by Mobile Police Commander, Selenkere Michael, to carry out the illegal impeachment.

 The police prevented the 19 APC members  including the substantive speaker from entering the assembly complex earlier today. one Olugbemi, was purportedly “elected” by the seven-man house as speaker.
