Talented Nigerian singer, Abolore Akande, popularly known
as 9ice, has lost his bid to vie for a seat in the House of
Representatives, Ogbomosho South.
9ice who was seeking to represent Ogbomosho North/South/Orire Federal Constituency of Oyo State under the platform of All Progressive Congress, APC was said to have lost to Prince Akeem Oyewunmi at the party’s primaries which was conducted on, December 7th, Vanguard reports.
Prince Akeem Oyewumi is the son of the Soun of Ogbomoso.
So far, the only entertainer amongst the lot seeking elective position in the 2015 elections in the South West who has succeeded in getting to the next level is Desmond Elliot. He won the Primaries to represent Surulere at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Last week, report had surfaced that the gongo aso cronner had crashed out at the recent APC Primary election but he debunked the report saying: “I am very much in the race and with you support and prayers, success is certain.”
