The small Caribbean nation is said to be the Switzerland of the pacifics, as it is known to be a hub for money laundering and illicit financial activities.
Also named is Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue son of Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo ruler of Equatorial Guinea who also is allegedly a shady and corrupt individual.
Teodoro is rightly facing charges ranging from corruption in France and also money laundering charges in the US.
To get a St. Kitts and Nevis passport, it is said that an investment of about $400,000 in real estate in the Caribbean nation or contribute at least $250,000 to the St. Kitts and Nevis Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation, according the stipulations of the St. Kitts and Nevis “Investment Program.”
This could mean that the governor has buried illgotten Nigerian funds in the hands of the small Carribean nation for protection.
Akpabio has denied the report according to his commissioner of information, Aniekan Umanah.
