Bosnia's Begovic May Miss Eagles Tie

Bosnia and Stoke City's top goalkeeper Asmir Begovic may miss the world cup opening games if he does not recover from his toe injury in time.

The Stoke keeper had injured his toe when he stubbed it and a nail ripped out.

He had missed the game against West Brom but is optimistic he will make the World Cup injury free.

He said: “I will be there and the doctor can then determine whether I can join in the first days of training. Then we will know more.

“For a couple of days I had a problem with the big toe on the left foot, but it’s not a big deal. “The doctors decided I shouldn’t play against West Brom and to rest for about seven days.”
