Sahara Reporters had spoke with several emergency responders heading to the scene and they are still unaware of the cause of explosion.
The explosion reportedly went off at about 8pm today, and the cause of the attack is yet to be ascertained at the moment.
Number of casualties is yet to be ascertained but the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA has confirmed that Nine bodies have been deposited in the mortuary while 11 unconscious victims are receiving medical attention at different hospitals in Abuja.

Some of the injured have been taken to the Asokoro Hospital in Abuja for emergency treatment.
A journalist residing in Abuja is quoting Police sources that it was a car explosion and it took place at Zuba park besides Nyanya furniture market.
Premium Times are reporting that a white Volks wagen golf was used to carry out todays attack, same as last time.
UPDATE: As at the time of filling this report, 16 corpses were counted at the Asokoro Hospital, More Ambulances are rushing off to bring in more injured and dead.
Security agencies have cautioned people living around the area to restrict their movement and allow security personnel access to the area. The severity and degree of the explosion is yet to be confirmed.
National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA and the Nigerian police are currently controlling traffic around the area.
Paramedic and ambulances have started moving victims and dead bodies to the General Hospitals around the area.
Nigerians have been using the popular social medium Twitter to show their thoughts and emotions of this sad event.
