SAD NEWS: Father Of Two Of The Abducted Schoolgirls In Chibok Is Dead

Less than a week after a woman was reported to have lost her life in a car accident on her way to protest the continued abduction of hundreds of schoolgirls kidnapped at the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State on 14 April, 2014, the tragic incident has claimed another casualty.

This time, it is a 56-year-old father, Mutai Hona, whose two daughters are among the over 276 schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram in Chibok.

According to information provided by the younger brother of the deceased, Mr. James Yama, the late father died as a result of High Blood Pressure (BP) he developed as a result of the kidnapped of his daughters.

The late Mutia was said to leave behind 8 children he had from his two wives.
While speaking with newsmen in Maiduguri, Yama said his late brother died on Sunday as a result of psychological trauma he sustained when he realized that none of his abducted daughters were in the video clip released by the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, some days ago.

He stated further that his late brother, who was buried in Chibok on Monday according to Christian rite, was 'hale and hearty' before the kidnapped of his daughters.

Yama said the late Mutia was not eating well before his death likewise his two wives.

He claimed that the parents of the kidnapped girls did not get anything when officials of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, in charge of North East Zone, came to Chibok to distribute relief materials to the families of the kidnapped schoolgirls.
