2015: PDP Allow Other Aspirants Pick Presidential Form


The party, yesterday, decided to make the Presidential forms available to all who were interested in contesting for the post of Presidency under the PDP, urging those who have paid for the Expression of Interest and nomination forms to visit the party’s National Secretariat to pick the forms.
Disclosing this in Abuja, the national publicity secretary of the party, Chief Olisa Metuh stressed that the deadline for collection of forms is Thursday, 6th November.

Metuh in a a two-paragraph statement said: “All aspirants who paid for nomination forms, including the Presidential Form but are yet to collect same, should come to the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja with verifiable evidence of payment for the purpose of collection of their forms.”

In September, the as its sole presidential candidate in the forthcoming 2015 elections, a decision which some members frowned at, insisting they will contest the presidential primary with him.

Recall that last week, that two presidential aspirants, Dr Abdul Jahil Tafawa-Balewa, son of former prime minister of Nigeria, and Akasoba Zainab Abiola, wife of late winner of the June 12 presidential election, Chief Moshood Abiola, had been after paying for it at the bank.

They were denied the forms against the backdrop that only one presidential form was printed because of the adoption of President Goodluck Jonathan.

Meanwhile, to re-contest the election.
